Safety & conduct
PYP exists so people can meet and create offline. These are the rules that keep it that way.
Everyone is checked by hand
- No listing goes live until an admin has reviewed the portfolio, socials and contact details.
- Profiles whose work doesn't match their socials are rejected.
- Approved listings carry an admin-verified stamp.
Safe shoots, every time
- Anyone can bring one chaperone or friend. Look for the chaperone-friendly badge.
- First shoots happen at booked studios, co-working spaces or public outdoor locations, never a private home.
- Share your call sheet and location with someone before you go.
- No last-minute location changes without notice. Leave if anything feels off.
Money rules
- Never pay 100% upfront. 25–50% deposit, balance on delivery.
- Use traceable payments. No gift cards, crypto or unverified transfers.
- Final files and copyright transfer only once the final invoice is paid.
- Cancellations inside 48 hours carry a kill fee.
Free work, done fairly
- Free test shoots (TFP) are only ever between two creatives building their portfolios together, like a photographer and a new model. Both sides walk away with photos.
- If a business or brand wants work for a product or campaign, that is always a paid job, even for beginners. New to the game? Charge a beginner rate, never £0.
- Free work for commercial brands devalues everyone on the platform, and brands can afford to pay. That's why it's against the rules.
Code of conduct
- Zero tolerance for harassment, pressure or unsafe environments.
- Never share a brand's unreleased work before its launch date. Use the pre-launch NDA.
- Credit your collaborators in every post.
- Report any listing that breaks these rules and we'll pull it.
